Sleek and sporty, the French footwear brand knows how to make a damn good shoe.

If Salomon isn't a regular player in your sneaker rotation, you're already behind the curve. If you know Salomon, though, you already love them. The brand, born in the French Alps in 1947, is built upon a long-standing commitment to shoes that do it all: they're sleek, they're sporty, and when it comes to facing the great outdoors, they're the best adventure companion you could ask for.

Unlike many other footwear brands, Salomon combines tech gear with functional styles. These are shoes you can wear to hike on a rocky terrain, or to climb up a mountain, or just to the gym. (When you actually have 'em and see how comfy and durable they are, you're going to want to do all three.) The great thing about Salomon is that they combine the best of both worlds: you get the sport-driven functionality and specs without sacrificing the style. These aren't sneakers you're going to want to rush to take off when your hike is over for fear of walking around town in the most hideous shoes you've ever seen; these are the sneakers you're going to reach for on the daily, even when your biggest adventure of the day is just commuting to work.

Remember what I was saying about that seamless Salomon combination of sportiness and style? The Techsonic sneakers—their collaboration with lifestyle brand Gramicci—represent just that. These water shoes have breathable mesh panels and a collapsible heel, so you can wear them as slip-ons, too.

If you haven't heard, white Air Force 1s are out. Sorry! We're in an era where a cool, sporty off-white shoe is the new staple piece, and if the rate these Salomons are selling out at is any indication, these are a definitive streetwear and sport essential. Part of the Cottage Core capsule, these sneakers have an elegant design influenced by the outdoors.

These are your go-to running shoes. Thank goodness they're damn cool. In collaboration with Ciele Athletics, Salomon has devised a cushiony, plush sneaker that feels surprisingly lightweight, making runs feel like an absolute breeze.

For all your outdoor adventures, the Outrise sneakers have you covered. These are waterproof, comfortable, and oh-so soft, even when the hard terrain you're on isn't.

These are one of Salomon's most iconic styles, and with very good reason. The versatile style has an upper designed to hold your foot in place, plus heel-to-toe stability tech.

One of the coolest-looking Salomons, the Speedcross 3 Mindful is as dynamic as it looks. Dope exterior aside, this is a sneaker designed for trails and rocks, baby. The sole features foothold technology for a precise grip, and this redesign features recycled materials.

The 2000s are back in a major way. This remix of an archival Salomon shoe from the 2000s is better than ever and ready to accompany you on your next trail run. The multi-terrain design is ultra-stable, and with even one wear, you'll notice a better performance.

Salomon knows that the worst thing is trying to stuff your bulky, heavy sneakers into a backpack, so they designed a sneaker that takes the drag out of your adventure. These lightweight suede and mesh trail shoes have a packable design that fold easily into your bag, a breathable design, and a damn cool look to 'em.

Cycling brand Pas Normal teamed up with Salomon to cover your two-wheeled adventures, too. This snug shoe has fleece lining for cushion and warmth, a snug design that feels like it fits your foot better than a custom shoe would, and technical, durable fabric with a slip-on design to make your trip easy as can be.

These are an everyday staple, a classic sneaker made even better. Breathable materials, a soft design, and shock absorption ensure that you can focus on your workout when you're wearing these, not your feet.

If you don't know where to start your journey, try these. They cover all the bases: a Gore-Tex membrane makes them ultra-breathable, while waterproof fabrics and mesh ensure they stay comfy; the removable footbed allows for all-day shock absorption, while the long and wide tongue keeps pebbles and rocks out of your shoes; and the reinforced, protective toe bed keeps your phalanxes away from rubble and debris.
