BRANFORD, CT —Madison Ave. Children's Shoes has a pop-up shop set for this weekend. A special event as shoes prices have been dramatically cut.

And it's also still tax-free week though Aug. 26, so extra savings.

The Madison Ave. Children's Shoes pop is set for Friday from 9 to 5, Saturday from 9 to 3, and Sunday from 9 to noon in front of Shoreline Prime, 103 North Main St. Note that if the pop-up is rained out on Friday, then Saturday and Sunday hours will be extended to 5 p.m.

Sarah Deko said the back-to-school pop-up event is a 50 percent off sale. Add in that for items under $100, there's no state sales tax and well, it's a shoe-in kind of deal day.

The shop only accepts cash and Venmo, though. Deko said there are myriad "favorite brands from all seasons," available and not only kids shoes as she has some adult size shoes as well.
